Isaiah 35
Joy of the Redeemed
 1 The desert and the parched land will be glad;
       the wilderness will rejoice and blossom.
       Like the crocus,
 2 it will burst into bloom;
       it will rejoice greatly and shout for joy.
       The glory of Lebanon will be given to it,
       the splendor of Carmel and Sharon;
       they will see the glory of the LORD,
       the splendor of our God.

 3 Strengthen the feeble hands,
       steady the knees that give way;

 4 say to those with fearful hearts,
       "Be strong, do not fear;
       your God will come,
       He will come with vengeance;
       with divine retribution
       He will come to save you."

 5 Then will the eyes of the blind be opened
       and the ears of the deaf unstopped.

 6 Then will the lame leap like a deer,
       and the mute tongue shout for joy.
       Water will gush forth in the wilderness
       and streams in the desert.

 7 The burning sand will become a pool,
       the thirsty ground bubbling springs.
       In the haunts where jackals once lay,
       grass and reeds and papyrus will grow.

 8 And a highway will be there;
       it will be called the Way of Holiness.
       The unclean will not journey on it;
       it will be for those who walk in that Way;
       wicked fools will not go about on it.

 9 No lion will be there,
       nor will any ferocious beast get up on it;
       they will not be found there.
       But only the redeemed will walk there,

 10 and the ransomed of the LORD will return.
       They will enter Zion with singing;
       everlasting joy will crown their heads.
       Gladness and joy will overtake them,
       and sorrow and sighing will flee away.
Isaiah 49:13 Shout for joy, O heavens; rejoice, O earth; burst into song, O mountains! For the LORD comforts His people and will have compassion on His afflicted ones.

Isaiah 51:1, 3, 7, 11, 12, 21-23
Everlasting Salvation for Zion
 1 "Listen to me, you who pursue righteousness
       and who seek the LORD :
       Look to the rock from which you were cut
       and to the quarry from which you were hewn;

 3 The LORD will surely comfort Zion
       and will look with compassion on all her ruins;
       He will make her deserts like Eden,
       her wastelands like the garden of the LORD.
       Joy and gladness will be found in her,
       thanksgiving and the sound of singing.

7 "Hear me, you who know what is right,
       you people who have my law in your hearts:
       Do not fear the reproach of men
       or be terrified by their insults.

11 The ransomed of the LORD will return.
       They will enter Zion with singing;
       everlasting joy will crown their heads.
       Gladness and joy will overtake them,
       and sorrow and sighing will flee away.

 12 "I, even I, am He who comforts you.
       Who are you that you fear mortal men,
       the sons of men, who are but grass,

 21 Therefore hear this, you afflicted one,
       made drunk, but not with wine.

 22 This is what your Sovereign LORD says,
       your God, who defends his people:
       "See, I have taken out of your hand
       the cup that made you stagger;
       from that cup, the goblet of My wrath,
       you will never drink again.

 23 I will put it into the hands of your tormentors,
       who said to you,
       'Fall prostrate that we may walk over you.'
       And you made your back like the ground,
       like a street to be walked over."
Isaiah 52:8 Listen! Your watchmen lift up their voices; together they shout for joy. When the LORD returns to Zion, they will see it with their own eyes. Isaiah 52:9 Burst into songs of joy together, you ruins of Jerusalem, for the LORD has comforted His people, He has redeemed Jerusalem. Isaiah 54:1 The Future Glory of Zion "Sing, O barren woman, you who never bore a child; burst into song, shout for joy, you who were never in labor; because more are the children of the desolate woman than of her who has a husband," says the LORD. Isaiah 55:12 You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands. Isaiah 56:7 these {who bind themselves to the LORD} I will bring to My holy mountain and give them joy in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on My altar; for My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations."

Isaiah 58:6-14
6 "Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen:
       to loose the chains of injustice
       and untie the cords of the yoke,
       to set the oppressed free
       and break every yoke?
 7 Is it not to share your food with the hungry
       and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter—
       when you see the naked, to clothe him,
       and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?
 8 Then your light will break forth like the dawn,
       and your healing will quickly appear;
       then your righteousness will go before you,
       and the glory of the LORD will be your rear guard.
 9 Then you will call, and the LORD will answer;
       you will cry for help, and He will say: Here am I.
       "If you do away with the yoke of oppression,
       with the pointing finger and malicious talk,
 10 and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry
       and satisfy the needs of the oppressed,
       then your light will rise in the darkness,
       and your night will become like the noonday.
 11 The LORD will guide you always;
       He will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land
       and will strengthen your frame.
      You will be like a well-watered garden,
       like a spring whose waters never fail.
 12 Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins
       and will raise up the age-old foundations;
       you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls,
       Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.
 13 "If you keep your feet from breaking the Sabbath
       and from doing as you please on My holy day,
       if you call the Sabbath a delight
       and the LORD's holy day honorable,
       and if you honor it by not going your own way
       and not doing as you please or speaking idle words,
 14 then you will find your joy in the LORD,
       and I will cause you to ride on the heights of the land
       and to feast on the inheritance of your father Jacob."
       The mouth of the LORD has spoken.

Isaiah 60:4 & 5
4 "Lift up your eyes and look about you:
       All assemble and come to you;
       your sons come from afar,
       and your daughters are carried on the arm.
 5 Then you will look and be radiant,
       your heart will throb and swell with joy;
       the wealth on the seas will be brought to you,
       to you the riches of the nations will come.”
Isaiah 60:15 "Although you have been forsaken and hated, with no one traveling through, I will make you the everlasting pride and the joy of all generations. They will come and shout for joy on the heights of Zion;
  they will rejoice in the bounty of the LORD
  — the grain, the new wine and the oil, the young of the flocks and herds.
  They will be like a well-watered garden,
  and they will sorrow no more.

Then maidens will dance and be glad, young men and old as well.

Jeremiah 33:9-11
 9 “’Then this city will bring me renown, joy,
      praise and honor before all nations on earth
      that hear of all the good things I do for it;
      and they will be in awe and will tremble
      at the abundant prosperity and peace I provide for it.'
 10 "This is what the LORD says: You say about this place,
      ‘It is a desolate waste, without men or animals.’
      Yet in the towns of Judah and the streets of Jerusalem that are deserted,
       inhabited by neither men nor animals, there will be heard once more
 11 the sounds of joy and gladness, the voices of bride and bridegroom,
      and the voices of those who bring thank offerings
      to the house of the LORD, saying,
       ‘Give thanks to the LORD Almighty,
       for the LORD is good;
       His love endures forever.’
      For I will restore the fortunes of the land as they were before,
        says the LORD.”

John 15:10-12
10 If you obey my commands, you will remain in My love,
    just as I have obeyed My Father's commands and remain in His love.
 11 I have told you this so that my joy may be in you
    and that your joy may be complete.
 12 My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.
